Full Black Victorian Skirt - Original - Lge. Size - Circa 1900-1910

Description

This long Victorian skirt is in good wearable condition with some minor discolorations and slight soiling around the base.  A good washing would be suggested.  It is long and full measuring 134 inches round at the bottom, so it was probably worn with several underskirts.  The fabric has a sheen to it and it may be a Crepe de Chine or possibly Voile.  It is a good size with the waist measuring 38 inches.  Hips flair to roughly 50 inches and it is 41 1/2 inches from waist to floor.  It has been lined and there is a 1 inch corduroy like fabric that circles the hemline.  This could pass for casual as well as dressing it up with the right Victorian waist.  The waistline is pleated and has two hook and eye closures.  These need a better securing.  Overall, very good condition and great for collectors, costume, reenactment or display.
