Victorian Black & White Gingham Calico Cotton Organdy Print Petticoat Over Skirt
This antique Victorian era black and white gingham calico cotton organdy print petticoat over skirt dates from the 1870s. It is made of a black and white sheer organdy plain weave crisp organdy fabric with a gingham checked print pattern and circular floral design trim waistband. This women's workwear over skirt petticoat is a long mid length with a full style, fitted waistband missing the back closure and is sheer, unlined. The skirt measures 30 inches long, with a 30 inch waist and 66 inch hips. It is in good condition, has not been cleaned, with some faint small staining discoloration along the waistband. This is truly a wonderful piece of prairie style calico women's workwear wearable art!
